Welcome to the World’s First Watermelon Game Jam.

Back in time during A MAZE. / Berlin 2016 watermelons emojis invaded the festival chatroom and have been sighted on-site as stickers and real vegetables between games and people on the dance floor. The discoverer and portal opener are known as Dominik Johann and Marius Winter. Kind of 300 days before.

"Hey you can change the chatroom emoji."
"What? Nice. Watermelon then."

The rest is history!

The chatroom is still very active. People are sharing new perspectives, insights, shapes, dimensions and culture around that fruitable.

In order to celebrate that lifechanging discovery with a special selection of watermelon games at A MAZE. / Berlin 2017 brought Adriel Beaver, Gianluca Pandolfo and Thorsten S. Wiedemann on the plan to kick off The World’s First Watermelon Game Jam.

We are looking for any kind of experimental, weird, arcade games featuring digital and analog watermelons.

Rules: We don't accept any discriminatory content based on gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, etc. If we see any content that seems to go against this rule, we may take any action we deem appropriate, including warning the participant or removing them from the jam.
If you use real watermelons, e.g. as controllers , make sure you don’t forget that you are playing with food.
